I hope I am getting the whole editing thing down. I like to think I am. I have finished an edit pass of the Harp Story. I think it reads tons better. I need to come up with a better title for it though.

BP editing is stalled for several reasons. The main one is that I have decided that it needs a rewrite. Ok, cool I can handle that. Somehow time has slipped through my fingers and I find getting back into the groove of writing very challenging. Not impossible, but I'm juggling a lot.

I have pulled out the Harp Story and re-read it. Funny, last time I read it, after several nice people gave me crits on it, I cringed and felt sick to my stomach trying to read it so I shelved it again. Now I am able to look at it and not have that reaction. Interesting, no?

I don't recall setting any major goals with writing this year (and I haven't gone through this lj to double check if I have or not) but I did discover something interesting thanks to [livejournal.com profile] glassquill. she reminded me about the Women in Fantasy issue that will be coming out Aug of 2011. She suggested I submit.

Sometimes I think [livejournal.com profile] glassquill has way to much belief in my writing.

But the idea is appealing.

I have two shorts that I can think of that would fit the mag. They do need editing so I am going to tackle that. In my spare time.

The submission deadline is Nov. 15. I think I should be able to whip it into shape by then.

anyways, I am still here. Still writing, still have story ideas. Still writing. Take care all.
